  • Success at Cambridge

    Congratulations to all our rowers competing at this years regattas.

    With two regattas running alongside each Cambridge Town Cup and North Island Club Champs – Our young rowing crews did an amazing job!!

    Cambridge Town Cup

    We had some stand out crews, with Neo making the U16 Boys 1X A final and the Donny, Kurt, Neo, Brennan and Bella making the U18 4X+ A Final. As well as some awesome B Final wins and placings from our other crews… Full results here.

    North Island Club Champs

    Well done to Kurt and Donny placing 3rd in the Mens Club 4X-, winning a bronze medal in a composite boat with Jonty Thomson and Levi Carroll from Aramoho Rowing Club.

  • Rowing on the Whanganui River

    We recently had a group of young German rowers on holiday, take our a boat out onto the Whanganui River. Checkout what the had to say.

  • Jury Cup 2018

    The Jury Cup held was held this year in superb conditions.  Thank you to all our helper volunteers that made this regatta a success.

    Union came away with some awesome results.

    Congratulations to Pat and Martin for winning the Any sex masters double sculls (1000m) and Pat again for placing 1st in the M/W masters single sculls (1000m)

    Well done to the single scullers that participated in this years event – Pat, Martin, Phillipa, Jay Jay and Siena for racing in the 5.7km race.

    And congratulations to the UBC rowers winning the Relay Sprint Race.

    Our Club relies heavily on volunteers and parent support to organise and help at each regatta. We will need parent help for all home and away regattas. If you are able to help in any way or if you have any fundraising ideas to reduce transport and accommodation costs – your help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Tonks Small Boat Race 2017 Results

    This years Tonks boat race was another hard fought race.

    The race began at the Aramoho finish line, down river to the National Library then back up to the Aramoho finish line. The young Union double crew of Donovan Thompson & Kurt Browning crossed the line first followed by the young ladies in the Aramoho U17/16 Quad.

    However, being a prognostics timed race, the winners of the Tonks Boat Race trophy goes to Trevor Rush and Richard Brock in their Master 2x Boat.

    1st Place : Aramoho Club – Club MGM2X – Trevor Rush and Hamish Brock
    2nd Place : Union Boat Club – Club M1X – Phillipa Baker-Hogan
    3rd Place : Union Boat Club – MMxd2X – Bob Evans and Jennie Evans
